What’s the best blood testing service in Germany with a seamless digital experience and personalized health recommendations?

In Germany and across Europe, there are many new blood testing startups launching. I’m looking for a service with great digital UX. Ideally offering some level of customization or smart biomarker panels at a fair price.

I’m slightly biased, as I know a few founders in this space, so I’d appreciate any objective recommendations to help me make the best decision.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of any that fulfill all of your criteria... 😕

On a side note: so, I figure years.co did NOT do a good job then? 😅

@sandra-hagen

The YEARS experience was great overall, but it’s more of a holistic check-up you’d typically do once or twice a year. They cover 75 blood markers and 14 urine markers, and the doctors do a solid job of customizing the panel based on your personal lifestyle, diet, and health goals.

That said, I’m looking for something more flexible and on-demand, a customizable blood panel with great usability and a clean digital interface to keep everything in one place.

Sure, I could go directly to labs like Bioscientia and create my own panel, but in the end, I just get a static PDF. Their goal is testing, not creating a great user experience or ongoing health journey.

Hey @karol very very good question 😅

Assuming you pay out-of-pocket, want to customize your panel and then have a really good analysis, integration with other data and recommendations, I have not seen any convincing solution.

I think pure testing is done in a great way by Aware, however, you can’t fully tailor your panel (only combine different packages), also the “so-what”-part (analysis, integration, recommendation) is rather weak from my view.

I know that some lab-testing-as-a-service players are working on similarly smooth solutions with higher flexibility, though they will also lack the layer on top. If a company with a good analysis app build a smooth integration with one of these lab providers, this could get closest to what you are looking for. Obviously not naming any player here 😊

I go to IMD Berlin since years. Other labs, that were recommended to me by micronutrient experts: Ganzimmun, Biovis, MVZ Augsburg.
