WHOOP
- regeneration score
- ability to develop your own digital biomarkers via the questionnaire
- stress dashboard
- Step count is not usable
Exertion tracking
Daily stress tracking
- Long term data and comparison is great
- The extensiveness of what data you can capture and having it combined is what make whoop super powerful
- It's expensive, on the edge of not getting it, or only buying when its sales
- They need to bring out updated devices more often to balance cost imo
- Fitness tracking (HRV, RH..)
- Stress monitoring (daily)
- Accountability of both these things
- Sleek Look
- Comfortable Design
- No distraction by screen
- For the same reason less likely to damage in workouts when worn on wrists
App:
- I like the weekly plans and habit tracking options
- Lot's of data
- Autodetection of high intensity workouts works well, pretty much to the minute
- Original strap starts to smell pretty quickly
App:
- UX is not very intuitive
- Insights seem to follow very simple If-Then rules that (seem to be) only analyzing single habits not groups and possible interactions
- HRV measures seem erratic - since they influence recovery and suggested strain, the whole system feels untrustworthy
- HR measures are lower than with other wrist-worn devices
- All in all the measured data does not reflect how I feel at all (e.g. data not affected by a bad night of sleep or a weeklong cold)
- Great UX
- Minimal device that I enjoy wearing
- Great for developing a better understand for what your body needs
- Risk of over-tracking and thereby loosing touch with gut-feeling for my own body
- 2 different sizes (normal people and The Rock)
- Identical quality to the wrist band
- For me the heart rate monitoring is more accurate on the bizeps
- When you change your clothes the band can can come loose
- Hiding the Whoop Pod
- High quality glasses
- High quality and modern case
- You can't add visual acuity (Sehstärke) so you need to wear contact lenses or one glasses on the other
- The market of blue light blocking glasses is not transparent for me so maybe a 20 euro glass from Amazon could be as a good as the 80 euros Whoop glasses
- Good feeling to wear the whoop
- Different positions to wear the whoop
- Gives me a lot of data to improve my health
- Easy measurement of HRV
-
- Bad heart rate measure
- Data in the US
- I don't like the auto detection. It does not detect walking
- Not a lot of development since 2023
- identify what makes my sleep better/worse
- I like the design and quality of the wristbands
- Totally appreciate, that it is a "true" wearable which is focused on health. Meaning, that there is no display which potentially could be a distraction.
- I like that the app is simple and great from the UX. It provides me with a lot of insights about my health and how to improve.
- Detection of sleep and activities works pretty well and can easily be edite
- The battery life and loading process also is very convenient. You just need to clip the charger on the Whoop and can still wear it.
- From my perspective Whoop could innovate faster and incorporate new features in the app quicker. Moreover I would love to see a new product with better sensor quality (Whoop 5.0).
- Personally I don't really like to buy a hardware and buy a subscription, especially if the iteration of the service is not too fast.
- I think the Whoop AI integration with personalized recommendations has more potential. Looking forward to the ongoing development in the future!
- The built-in community feature is a great idea but not really thought-through. Has more potential from my perspective!
With Whoop I am very satisfied overall and it helps me a lot to stay on track with my health on the long-run.
