Pros
A great alternative for in-between meals or during workouts when you don’t want a traditional milk-based protein shake. Refreshing and light, perfect for staying hydrated while getting your protein. It also helps you meet your desired daily protein intake effortlessly.
Cons
Slightly pricey. Also, it took me a while to figure out the best way to mix it: first half the water, shake, then add the rest and refrigerate to get rid of the whey foam.
Goal
I wanted an alternative to regular protein shakes that’s easy to take on the go or enjoy during longer days out. It’s also a fantastic summer drink, doubling as a protein-packed lemonade.

Pros
The KICKR CORE ZWIFT ONE is an excellent choice for beginners, especially for those starting indoor cycling with a road bike or looking for effective cardio days. As an entry-level model, it’s well-packaged, has great build quality, and is easy to set up quickly.
Cons
Unfortunately, it’s heavily dependent on Zwift to fully enjoy the experience. For maximum fun, Zwift Play is a must-have. Additionally, the virtual gear system feels noticeably different from real-life shifting, and Zwift’s competitive environment might feel intense for newcomers.
Goal
My primary goal was to find a reliable and beginner-friendly smart trainer for indoor cycling that allows me to stay consistent with cardio workouts, especially during bad weather or off-seasons.

Pros
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is, in my opinion, the market leader in its category. I use it for nearly everything (except sleep tracking). It’s perfect for starting and tracking workouts, and its seamless integration within the Apple ecosystem makes it incredibly convenient. The data analysis is detailed and reliable, allowing for great insights into health and performance metrics. It’s the ultimate all-rounder: fitness, productivity, and lifestyle all in one. The build quality is also outstanding, with a premium feel and durability that matches its “Ultra” branding imo.
Cons
The battery life remains an area for improvement. With daily workouts, it lasts about two days, but a third day would make a big difference for longer trips or heavier usage. The high price for the watch itself, along with the additional cost for premium bands, can be a drawback. Additionally, the inclusion of 5G may not be necessary for everyone, making it feel like an overkill feature for some users.
Goal
My main goal in choosing the Apple Watch Ultra 2 was to have a versatile, reliable device that seamlessly integrates into my daily life and supports my fitness and health tracking needs. I wanted a watch that could handle intense workouts, outdoor activities, and everyday productivity while remaining user-friendly and offering top-notch data insights.

Cons
Slightly more expensive than competitors, but with regular deals (often -20%), the price becomes much more reasonable.
Goal

The data insights provided by Whoop are excellent, particularly for tracking stress levels and sleep quality, which are my main focus areas. The band itself is high-quality, lightweight, and comfortable to wear, even for extended periods. I also appreciate the detailed breakdown of recovery and strain, which helps optimize training and rest. The app interface is intuitive, making it easy to interpret the data.
Cons
Calorie counts and step tracking often differ significantly from other devices (e.g. Apple Watch Ultra 2), which can be frustrating. However, I’ve read that a new algorithm is on the way to address these issues, so I’m hopeful for improvements. Pricing is on the higher side, especially without deals like Black Friday, which feels steep given the amount of personal data being shared with the U.S. The support team also takes around 5 days to respond, which could be improved for a product at this price point.
Goal
My primary goal in choosing Whoop was to gain deeper insights into stress and sleep patterns and to track recovery in order to improve my performance and overall health. I wanted a tool that could help me fine-tune my workouts and recovery, and Whoop has delivered well on that front so far.
