BF511 Blue HBF-511B-E Compare
Customer · 2 weeks ago
Pros
- The scale is relatively affordable compared to other body composition monitors.
- It includes four electrodes, which provide additional insights into body fat and visceral fat.
- The product feels solid and well-designed, offering a good user experience.
- The visceral fat reading seems reasonably accurate as a general indicator.
Cons
- The body fat percentage measurement appears to be unreliable and off by several percentage points compared to professional methods.
- The visceral fat reading is more of a general indication without tangible, precise numbers.
- The scale lacks Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity, making it impossible to sync data with apps for consistent tracking.
- For users seeking detailed and reliable body composition analysis, it falls short of expectations.
Goal
Have a scale at home to measure and track my body composition (especially body fat and visceral fat).

Bemer Premium-Set Evo
Customer · 2 weeks ago
Pros
- The mat can be tested for 100 euros per week, making it possible to try before committing to the purchase.
- Using the mat 8 min in the morning and evening became a calming ritual and structured part of the daily routine.
- Scientific studies highlight benefits for microcirculation, recovery, sleep and overall health.
- Many professional athletes report positive effects on recovery and sleep.
- The mat is CE-certified and FDA-approved, ensuring safety and reliability.
- Educational resources like webinars with cardiologists provide useful insights into the technology and mechanism.
Cons
- No subjective or measurable improvement in recovery, sleep, or HRV was noticeable after one month.
- The high price point does not align with the lack of measurable results.
- The mat may not offer significant benefits for young, healthy individuals without circulatory issues. Possibly for elder people or people with pre-conditions it potentially could be helpful though.
- The multi-level marketing approach created some skepticism for me personally (depends on personal preference).
- The manufacturing location in Vietnam may feel inconsistent with the premium pricing.
Goal
I wanted to get experiences with PEMF technology and learn more about Bemer.

CeraThrive
Customer · 4 months ago
Pros
- CeraThrive is an photobiomodulation device specifically targeted at the gut-brain-axis
- Might improve inflammation, cognition and energy. Subjectively I feel a positive effect.
- It uses various red light wavelengths which increases the overall benefits and mimics nature
- The device has a nice design and app with various pre-defined trainings
- It feels comfortable and produces a nice and relaxing sensation in the belly
- Has lots of science and studies as foundation. Moreover the founder is very professional and knowledgeable
- It has low EMF radiation
Cons
- Since it is currently in a startup phase shipping and customs is slightly tricky
- Moreover more studies and trials are needed but from my perspective this has lots of potential
Goal
I was looking for options to further improve my gut health as well as strengthen my gut-brain-axis. Since infrared is backed by many studies I was eager to learn more about CeraThrive which is focussed on infrared therapy for the gut-brain-axis.

Infrared Sauna Blanket
Customer · 4 months ago
Pros
- Nice way to incorporate sauna / sweating into the daily routine
- After a while it actually gets pretty hot and one does really sweat
- This is a infrared sauna, which means it also has additional benefits and reaches deeper into the body compared to Finnish sauna
- Easy to control temperature with a control
- One can lay down, relax and combine it with other activities like listening to podcast/music or meditation
- This device is EMF free
- Since I am taller > 190cm I needed to have a blanket for my proportions. Other options are smaller so I chose this one.
Cons
- One needs to wear clothing or a full-body towel inside the blanket to not burn skin
- A session takes up to 60 min and is not the "traditional sauna experience"
- Takes some time to heat up
- Needs to be cleaned after each usage (not really a con though)
Goal
Since using the sauna regularly for 3-4 days per week might bring additional benefits for longevity (compared to using it only once or twice a week) I wanted to find a solution to incorporate it easily into my routine. We don't have space for a traditional Sauna so I was looking for sauna blankets.

With the Heat healer I am satisfied and it is easy to incorporate it into my daily life.

Nurosym
Customer · 4 months ago
Pros
- Nurosym is a medical grade vagus nerve stimulator with lots of scientific studies and medical advisors on board
- Within 4 months of using the Nurosym regularly (next to other healthy habits) I was able to increase my average HRV by ~ 20%
- It has a 30 money-back guarantee so one can easily test it
- Comes with a nice packacking and case to transport it
- Introductions for using the device are pretty clear
- Battery life is incredible, nearly never have to charge the device
Cons
- The device is quite expensive
- Clipping the cable around the ear is not really super so sometimes the electrodes feel a little bit loose
Goal
I was looking for a vagus nerve stimulator to improve overall wellbeing as well as HRV. My goal was to be more in the parasympathetic state.

I am happy with the Nurosym and will continue to use it long-term. Especially when it comes to applying electricity at/in the body I want to have a safe and professional product.

H10 Heart Rate Monitor
Customer · 4 months ago
Pros
- The H10 is using EKG which is superior in terms of accuracy compared to optimal sensors of common wearables
- The strap is comfortable and easy adjustable
- Connecting the device to fitness equipment and smartphone is super simple
- It has a great battery life
- The app is useful and can help to guide me through the training in different zones
- It has a fair price (99€) but there are also regular discounts available
Cons
- The heart rate zones are calculated by the standard formale 220 - age = MHF (max. Heart frequence). From my perspective Polar should measure the max rate with a guided training.
- The voice feature in the app is pretty annoying and has limitations to be configured
Goal
To improve my V02max and to have a more efficient training within different heart rate zones I was looking for an accurate way to measure my HF during training. Since common wearables only use optical sensors (which are less accurate) I was looking for a EKG solution.

I am very happy with the H10 and can recommend it.

Pulsetto
Customer · 4 months ago
Pros
- May be an option for some to stimulate the vagus nerve and improve HRV
- Relatively cheap compared to others
Cons
- Personally I don't like the sensation around the neck. Although it is possible to adjust the intensity levels it felt actually quite painful and uncomfortable for me (especially in my throat).
- You have to use a gel with the device which can be gluey and annoying to clean
- While vagus nerve stimulation is science backed and beneficial, the Pulsetto is not a CE medical product. Nevertheless it has a FCC certification. From my perspective, when you work with electricity at/in your body, you should be double secure that the product you use is safe.
- They are very aggressive in their marketing which can be annoying
Goal
I was looking for a vagus nerve stimulator to improve overall wellbeing as well as HRV. My goal was to be more in the parasympathetic state.

Unfortunately for me personally the experience with the Pulsetto wasn't really satisfying (but may be for others).

- They also have a extensive knowledge database and courses around various conditions of the GI track
- Supplements are very focused and have only the relevant ingredients and no additional additives
Cons

- The team and the doctor are very friendly and highly competent
- Ali takes a lot of time to explain everything thoroughly and in an easy-to-understand manner
- The place is very clean and easy to reach in Düsseldorf
Cons
- Not really a con but potentially there could be more diagnostics like e.g. DEXA Scan, stool tests or functional movement analysis
Goal
I wanted to have a holistic full-body check-up from a medical doctor who has lot's of experience in this field.

I am very happy with the overall experience and Ali as a doctor and can certainly recommend him!

GO 2
Customer · 4 months ago
Pros
- In general I really liked the idea of Upright: To provide feedback when I "slouch" (have a bad posture) so that I can build a new habit of correcting my posture and improving it on the long-term.
- There are many configurations in the app on how and when the device should provide feedback (vibration, optimal, sounds etc.)
- There are nice summaries of how much time one spent in "good" and "best" posture
- The tracking of the posture is actually quite accurate
Cons
- For me the product feels slightly overpriced
- Although there are two options how to apply the device (patch on the skin & chain around the neck) it doesn't feel very comfortable to wear the device
- When having a call or so the vibration of the device can feel quite annoying
- Creating a consistent habit loop and build new connections in the brain for better posture is very hard and takes time. From my perspective the overall experience could be more engaging.
- My suggestion would be to integrate it into a T-Shirt, so that the convenience of wearing it is improved drastically
Goal
I wanted to find a device which reminds me of a good posture, especially when working at the desk. Overall I was not too satisfied with the Upright GO 2.

Whoop 4.0
Customer · 4 months ago
Pros
- I am using the Whoop nearly 24/7 and I think it is very comfortable
- I like the design and quality of the wristbands
- Totally appreciate, that it is a "true" wearable which is focused on health. Meaning, that there is no display which potentially could be a distraction.
- I like that the app is simple and great from the UX. It provides me with a lot of insights about my health and how to improve.
- Detection of sleep and activities works pretty well and can easily be edite
- The battery life and loading process also is very convenient. You just need to clip the charger on the Whoop and can still wear it.
Cons
- Accuracy might be a topic with the Whoop. Compared to other sensors like e.g. Apple Watch it might be slightly behind due to the sensor quality.
- From my perspective Whoop could innovate faster and incorporate new features in the app quicker. Moreover I would love to see a new product with better sensor quality (Whoop 5.0).
- Personally I don't really like to buy a hardware and buy a subscription, especially if the iteration of the service is not too fast.
- I think the Whoop AI integration with personalized recommendations has more potential. Looking forward to the ongoing development in the future!
- The built-in community feature is a great idea but not really thought-through. Has more potential from my perspective!
Goal
I wanted to have a wearable device which I can wear 24/7 and that tracks various kinds of health data like activity, HF, HRV, sleep etc. Moreover I wanted it to suit my individual preferences (e.g. I don't like wearing a ring).

With Whoop I am very satisfied overall and it helps me a lot to stay on track with my health on the long-run.

Pros
- Subjectively I get around 20-30 % more air through the nose when using the Noson
- I use it when doing focus work at my desk
- It is a non-invasive way to improve nasal breathing
- The product is assembled by people with slight disabilities, so purchasing it also has a good cause
Cons
- For me personally it is not as comfortable as expected. After a while my nose hurts and therefore for me it is not possible to use it for a longer duration nor sleep with it.
Goal
I wanted to explore how I can improve my nasal breathing. The Noson is a non-invasive option to improve air-flor through the nose.

Pros
- The sensation with NeuroVizr is hard to describe, but from the visual perspective it comes quite close to a psychedlic experience.
- When using the device I feel slightly detached from the current world and within a new world of sensation
- Obviously it is very subjective but subjectively I feel altered states of mind
- The corresponding app has lots of different programs with different images and sounds. One can also select different programs like e.g. Sleep, Calm, Awareness, Drug-free-Microdosing, Trauma etc.
- Has 2-year hardware warranty
Cons
- The battery life is horrible and there is no indication of loading. From my perspective this urgently needs to be fixed!
- The method is quite innovative and new and therefore needs more research. Anyhow first tests in terms of neuroplasticity seem promising.
Goal
I wanted to experiment with alternatives to traditional microdosing. NeuroVizr offers a drug-free alternative which I find really appealing.

Manta Sleep Mask
Customer · 4 months ago
Pros
- Really blocks nearly 95% of the incoming light
- I bought it via Amazon, so the return process was very simple
Cons
- From my subjective perspective the mask is really uncomfortable due to two reasons:

1) The velcro fastener at the back stands out when lying on the back
2) The mask is very thick, so not really suitable for sleeping on the side

- Moreover from I personally think the mask is totally overpriced
Goal
When optimizing my sleep I was experimenting with a couple different sleeping mask. I stumbled over manta sleep and wanted to give it a try although it was quite pricey. Unfortunately I was very dissatisfied with the product and made a return.

- Tastes really nice and helps me to calm down slightly

HealthCaters
Friend of Founder · 4 months ago
Pros
- Within 30 min one can do a swift and easy health checkup which assesses overall health
- There is an easy-to-follow walkthrough which guides through the testing and usage of the devices
- They have a super friendly and professional team
- All data gets stored in a nice app which also offers additional features and can be used to track health outcomes over time

With their Urban Health Checkup (B2C product) they check the following:

General Fitness: disease predisposition, temperature, hydration, BMI, musculoskeletal health, lifestyle assessment
Heart Health: blood pressure, cholesterol, EKG, heart rate
Lung Health: lung function, oxygen saturation
Metabolic Health: blood sugar, waist circumference, body fat, glucose in urine, ketones
Kidney & Liver health: bilirubin, urobilinogen, protein, pH
Bladder & Urinary Tract health: urine leucocytes, blood in urine, nitrite
Mental health: sleep quality, burnout risk, depression risk
Cons
- They started with a B2B offering (for companies to assesses the health of employees) but also stretched in the B2C field with the Urban Health Offering. Therefore the availability of the Urban Health Check-Ups is not too frequent.
- The collected health data is solid but overall also quite basic. Would love to see more in-depth analysis in the future (maybe as a Premium product).
Goal
I wanted to make a quick health-checkup without the need to go to my doctor (because of time and I wanted to take control of the checkup).

FreeStyle Libre 3
Customer · 4 months ago
Pros
- The producer of FreeStyle Libre (Abbott) is a well-known supplier for diabetes management
- FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor is the hardware basis for many other apps and services
- The tracking is very accurate
- You can buy it online without recipe or doctor’s consultation
- The onboarding course is very helpful to completely understand the handling and usage
- One sensor lasts 14 days and you can easily re-buy if you like to
- Moreover it comes with an app and a decent cloud based online view (LibreView)
Cons
- They should add a patch which can cover the CGM (and improve stability). Nevertheless you can buy it seperately.
- The visual design of the corresponding app is not spectacular but certainly does the job
- There is no real guidance on what to do / eat but since I am a nutritionist it was pretty straightforward to understand the data and act accordingly to optimize my glucose
Goal
To understand how blood sugar can be tested I first wanted to start with the traditional method of finger pricking. Nevertheless after a while I wanted to switch to a far superior way of keeping track of my blood sugar. Best was to utilize a CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) device. There are more and more options coming out (incl. apps and coaching) but I preferred to start with the device which is the hardware basis in many cases: FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor.

AIRE 2.0
Customer · 4 months ago
Pros
- Great alternative for testing issues like SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth) or fructose maldigestion or lactose intolerance regularly at home instead of doing several lab tests
- Totally simplyfies the process of testing food which might not be optimally digested
- Very cheap device compared to several intolerance testings via lab
Cons
- As with all devices and Apps it is crucial to accurately track the meals and do the testing to find out correlations
- The values are not the same as from the lab tests but give good indication
- The device needs to heat up before usage (not really a problem)
Goal
Since testing SIBO and food intolerances via a lab takes quite some time (waiting for the test after purchase, doing the test, sending the test via postal office, waiting for lab results etc.) I looked for a different solution. I found the Foodmarble device which is capable of testing the H2 (Hydrogen) and C4 (Methan) in the breath and connecting it to the food eaten, stress levels and sleep quality. It can be done via a small device at home.

Pros
- Firstbeat offers a wearable for accurate HRV, HF and respiration rate measuring which gives insights into stress, recovery and fitness
- The measuring is very accurate due to ECG via electrodes
- Due to the ECG the stress and recovery diagram is very accurate and reliant on a second & minute level
- They have a nice app which provides lots of insights
- One can make a diary to connect physiological reactions based on life events
- One can do a 30min walking test which provides and estimation for the VO2max
Cons
- The Firstbeat certainly is not too comfortable compared to other wearables due to electrodes which need to be applied to the body
- One has to remove the electrodes before showering and apply new ones
- After a couple exchanges of the electrodes the skin can be quite irritaded
Goal
I wanted to have an accurate measuring of my HRV (wearables with optical sensors are not too accurate in terms HRV measurement).

- Different modes for training
- One can book a free introduction to the product and the team is very kind and helpful
Cons
- Quite pricy (299€) but from my perspective worth the price (from my perspective you don't want to have a cheap and not really tested product sending electricity through your body)

Pros
- Great option to do a colon cancer screening as a first indicator instead of doing a colonoscopy in the first step
- Is more accurate than a traditional iFOBT test (which is commonly used for colon cancer screening) since it also checks DNA

- Overall Detection Rate: 85%
- Early Stage Detection Rate (Stages 0/I/II): 80%

- With the first test I received the information that the test result was not reliant and they offered a new test free of charge. To me this is a sign that they are reliant and trustworthy.
- Clear result communication via postal letter
Cons
- Quite expensive (199€)
- A while back one was able to purchase it directly from the website, now it is only possible through partner lab (Ganzimmun Diagnostics, Biovis Diagnostics, MVZ Institut für Mikroökologie)

- Highly scientifical approach and backup from experts
- Biogena makes other efforts in terms of diagnostics, biohacking and longevity (they build centers called Biogena Plaza for that)
- Online chatbot to find the right supplements
- Clear distribution concept and nice shop experience
Cons
- Nothing comes to my mind
Goal
I wanted to find a supplement brand which covers many supplements I'd like to take and is very professional and meticulously about their quality.

Athlytic
Customer · 4 months ago
Pros
- Whoop like App experience with Apple Watch
- Trends show longterm training load and improvement of fitness
- Nice, clean and colorful design and with solid UX
- Nice calendar view with recovery score & exertion score
- Monthly based subscription, so can be cancelled any time
Cons
- Additional subscription costs for the Pro version, which is basically mandatory if you want to have the full insights (currently 3,99 € per month or 31,99 € per year)
- No one-time-payment option
Goal
I wanted to find an App which gives me more insights about my overall health data based on my Apple Watch. From my perspective Athlytic is a must-have for the Apple Watch health use case. Still you might want to evaluate, whether you want to go with the Apple Watch or the Whoop (or others).

Apple Watch Series 8
Customer · 4 months ago
Pros
- Apple Watch can be used as a versatile and solid wearable
- Has complete integration with Apple Health (although from my perspective Apple could iterate faster with Apple Health)
- Smoothly integrated in whole Apple ecosystem
- Lots of different 3rd party App across various health topics available
- Compared to other wearables quite accurate
- Different wrist bands available to change style
Cons
- Quite expensive
- Can be distracting and annoying due to the display and with several other use cases apart from health topics
Goal
My goal was to find a wearable to track several health parameters like: HF, HRV, Sleep, Activity, Blood oxygen etc. which is seamless integrated in Apple Health.

Aktiia
Customer · 4 months ago
Pros
- Continuous blood pressure measuring device (not many devices nor wearables can do this currently accurately)
- The device is attached to a bracelet and measures blood pressure around 12 times per day with no need to inflate a blood pressure cuff at the upper arm
- CE medical product with lots of research and medical support behind it
(Systolic blood pressure accuracy: 0.45 ± 7.75 mmHg & Diastolic blood pressure accuracy: 0.38 ± 6.86 mmHg)
- Great product design incl. packaging and nice UX within the app
- Easy setup and synchronization process (needs to be calibrated with a cuff which is included in the delivery)
- Can be very helpful with hypertension and lifestyle changes + medication calibration (still needs additional medical guidance!)
- Not too expensive
Cons
- Needs to be synchronized regularly with a cuff (ca. every 30 days)
- If you spend some days & nights with the measurement and identify that your blood levels are in range there is not too much additional insights after that
Goal
Since measuring blood pressure regularly with a cuff can be quite challenging I wanted to have a device to continuously measure my blood pressure (similar to continuous glucose monitoring). I found Aktiia and was satisfied with the experience.

Airofit Pro 2.0
Customer · 4 months ago
Pros
- Product works quite well when applied regularly
- Innovative product which can easily be applied in at home setting
- Has an app with it with various kinds of breathing exercises
- They have regular campaigns where you can get a discount on the device
Cons
- Additional subscription costs next to already quite high hardware costs (additional 39,99 € per year)
- Cleaning of the device is important (especially due to oral health) but not really thought through from my perspective. They should include a cleaning device
- When I used the device the "Tips" section didn't work at all, so there were no personalized insights for me although I had regular training data. I talked to a person from Airofit and they mentioned that it is still "work in progress".
Goal
My goal was to improve my respiratory strength as well as my lung capacity. I used the Airofit for 2 months intensely next to my general sports routine and had the following results:

- In around 2 months I improved my lung volume from 5,2 l to 7,0 l
- In around 2 months I was able to improve inspiratory strength and expiratory strength and get from red/orange scale to average range

So from my perspective training with the device has a measurable effect.
