Dr. Paul Hammer is the founder and CEO of BIOMES. He earned his PhD in systems biology and bioinformatics in 2012 at the University of Potsdam. His mission is to transfer cutting-edge DNA technologies and machine learning into the healthcare market to improve individual well-being. After research at institutions like the Max Planck Institute, he started his entrepreneurial career in 2010 and founded BIOMES in 2017.

My Routines
1. Morning Workout: I start each day with a 15–20 minute workout to strengthen my back muscles, including push-ups, planks, and TRX-based exercises, followed by about 10 minutes of foam rolling for fascia release.
2. Hydration & Gut Health: After waking up, I drink a glass of water with creatine, followed by psyllium husk mixed in kefir to support digestion and gut health.
3. Personalized Microbiome Support: Three times a year, I perform a microbiome analysis and adapt my supplementation and nutrition accordingly — taking personalized probiotics when needed, or alternatively, prebiotics or postbiotics based on my current gut profile.
