Kernel’s primary innovation, the Kernel Flow headset, utilizes time-domain functional near-infrared spectroscopy (TD-fNIRS) to monitor brain activity. This non-invasive device measures changes in blood oxygenation, serving as a proxy for neural activity, and achieves a sampling rate of 200Hz. The integration of hemodynamic data with EEG signals offers a detailed understanding of brain function, facilitating applications in treatment response prediction, translational research, clinical trial optimization, and early identification of neurological conditions.
