What’s your favorite organic, high-polyphenol extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)?

3 months ago (edited)

I’m looking for an organic, high-polyphenol extra virgin olive oil (EVOO). Someone in the New Zapiens community recommended Pamako monovarietal EVOO, which has the highest polyphenol count I’ve ever seen (2.000 mg/kg) and is third party lab testes:

Which EVOO are you currently using or would recommend?

Nice topic! Not sure here, too. I wonder which is the best brand for German customers (shipment costs, etc)? Any ideas?

I don't have a recommendation yet, but I will buy and try that 2.000 mg/kg EVOO soon ...

Hi Karol, since I am part of a buying club, I adapt a little. Currently very popular in terms of taste and value for money is ORO NATURA, a 5-litre carafe produced from organic farming in Andalusia. I had to do a little research and actually found a rather poorly translated page: https://www.remediospicasat.com/de/nuestro-aceite/
The third party lab shows a concentration of phenolic compounds exceeding 1,000 mg/kg of oil.

Thanks for your replies, folks.

@ana-lorena-gomez Will check your EVOO and provided link, thank you.
@brgmn The Pamako Monovarietal EVOO costs €27,89 for 500ml and shipping to Germany is free.

I will give Palmako a try, same as @heiko-bartlog

@manlio-lo-giudice What’s your go-to extra virgin olive oil? Any thoughts or recommendations on Pamako EVOO?

My Pamako arrived today and it tastes really yummy, not as spicy as I expected 😋

Thanks @ana-lorena-gomez

That’s exactly the kind of olive oil I was looking for

But does anyone else have recommendations for high-polyphenol olive oil with a lab report that you can buy directly from the farm, ideally in bulk for a better price?

Something like what @marius-krebs mentioned in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNVPefGNL9o&t=249s

So in Hanover there is a really good olive oil shop. The owner is an olive oil sommelier. Since over a year I only buy "Natives Olivenöl extra Kreta Koroneiki". If you want the best olive oil (a daily spoon with all the good stuff I would take "Aspida hochphenolisches gesundheits – Olivenöl". I bought it once but for daily use it's to expensive for me. The Kreta Kornoeiki I also use for daily cooking.

Edit: The Aspida has >450 mg/Kg.

I tried the one from lucis (ex zero health) It was a product made by biohackers in France, the composition and origin looks amazing BUT it's real spicy

Thanks for sharing your recommendations, Zapiens! Very valuable.

@artem Pamako Monovarietal EVOO is a strong choice. It’s slightly spicy (which I like) and ticks my three main boxes:

• Organic
• Very high in polyphenols (2.000 mg/kg)
• Ships to Germany (ordered 2 bottles and got free shipping)

The price is fair, and if you get 3 bottles, there’s even a discount.
Definitely worth trying!

@karol any link for purchasing genuine one?

@artem could you please elaborate? What exactly do you mean by “genuine one” in this context?

@karol as official site is not selling directly…

@artem Got it. Thanks for clarification.

I bought my Pamako at the "Big Food" shop here:
