We're using a simple Sportstech sWalk for many years now. Easy to use, cheap and solid: https://newzapiens.com/brands/sportstech

I used the KingSmith Walking Pad A1 Pro for years, then I switched to the KingSmith R2 - both great, foldable, I think for most people the A1 is totally enough and R2 a little overkill. Recommend the A1 to my clients, never heard anything bad about it. (no affiliate or sponsoring)

I had 3 different ones and don’t think there is a great product yet that I trust to last very long. I’d definitely go for a brushless motor. Kingssmith R2 is a decent choice. I’d buy it from Amazon, return it if it breaks within two years and otherwise buy a new one once it breaks and don’t bother with repair (if you’re not into that).

Having said that it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made. 3-6 hours of walking per day that I would otherwise mostly sit. I can do excel, contracts and calls on it at 2km/h. It’s a no brainer investment imo.

Depending on what you are doing at the computer the walking pad might not be a good choice. I do image and video editing where I need precise control. For calls it might be good. Consider that by walking you have more energy than the other people on the call. Which is often good but not when you have already too much energy than your coworkers/clients. If its a video call some bosses dont like it since they think its more workout than work. Just ask and look at the reactions. I do like my kingsmith anyhow. Although not using it as often as I am travelling a lot recently. And non of the options I am aware of are lightweight enough for taking with you while travelling.

I have a foldable one. Works for me. Mine is from kingsmith. Also combined it with one of these gymnastic sitting balls (vluuv has some nice ones) for a while, as you can just place the ball on top of the walking pad.
