✨ Skincare & Longevity ✨ What are the best proven anti aging ways / products to keep facial skin healthy and prevent wrinkles?

3 days ago (edited)

I’ve been using only hyaluronic gel so far, but I’m curious to explore more.

What are the most effective ways to keep facial skin healthy and prevent wrinkles long term?

From retinol, vitamin C, peptides, niacinamide, collagen, sunscreen, antioxidants, omega-3s, or even lifestyle habits (hydration, sleep, diet) – which ones really work and make a difference long term?

Curious to hear your tips & experiences! 💬

I stumbled upon this video on exactly that topic today, that was issued yesterday: https://youtu.be/PvzE-1f5dW4?si=mFIT6mCUzyDN-h59

@andy I keep it very basic and simple: about 2–3 liters of water a day, 7h of qualitative sleep and mainly just two brands for creams and sunscreens.

Beyer & Söhne — face sunscreen + daily face cream

Typology — body lotion + body sunscreen

Thanks for inviting me to join the discussion on one of my favorite topics :D My longevity skin care routine is basic, yet effective:

- minimal make-up
- SPF 50 every day (please don't hate me biohackers)
- good skin care routine (double cleansing, high-quality hyaloronic acid and moisturizer)
- daily daily must have: 20mins of red light therapy (especially the red light component 600-700nm) directly on the cleansed and naked face
- and if i really want to shine brigt: occassional microneedling in combination with RLT

I care a ton about my skin but still keep it simple!

  • tretinoin (rx retinol) under thick moisturizer at nighttime (Cetaphil body - comes in big tub)

  • simple face wash

  • ISDN vitamin c ampoules

  • same thick moisturizer during the day (this will depend on your skin)

  • ISDN SPF 50 mineral sunblock

  • light make-up

This isn't intentional but I sauna daily and as a result get red light in the sauna (built-in). The reason I haven't pursued it intentionally is I never really saw real effects from RLT but am aware of the study results. It might just be too low and slow of an effect for me - tretinoin and vit c and good sunblocks and moisturizer are way more impactful for me.

as sunprotection seems to be the biggest issue (for me). i wen´t shopping ;)
found out that @bryan-johnson is using CeraVe AM facial moisturizing lotion SPF 30 and bought the one with SPF 50 instead of EltaMD UV clear broad-spectrum SPF 46.
