Which preventive health and longevity experts are the most credible and science-backed to follow?

Hey Zapiens,

when it comes to evidence-based health, wellness, and longevity, who do you trust most?

Besides the obvious big names like Dr. Peter Attia, Rhonda Patrick, or Matt Kaeberlein, I’m always looking for other credible voices who combine science,
clarity, and practical advice.

Here are a few I regularly follow:

• Dr. Andy Galpin – Training & recovery

• Michael Lustgarten – Aging biomarkers

• Siim Land – Fasting & biohacking

• Jeff Cavaliere (Athlean-X) – Strength & mobility

• Chris Masterjohn – Nutrition science

• Dr. Nicolas Verhoeven (Physionic) – Research deep dives

• Dr. Helene Orfanos-Boekel – Nutritional science & longevity

Who would you add?

I would add spontaneously

Dr Stacy Sims for women healthy Longevity and strength

Dr Wonda Wright for aging and Longevity

Dr Thiemo Osterhaus for easy explained bloodwork

Dr Sheila de Liz - for female hormones (Beginner)

Dr Mary Claire Haver for modern menopause education

Good list already. Few ones to add:

  • Robert Lustig (nutrition)

  • Dan Garner (Studies on biomarkers, exercise, nutrition)

  • Joel Jamieson (conditioning)

  • Mike Israetel (Strength training)

  • Layne Norton (strength training, nutrition)

  • Michael Greger (Nutrition)

Following ones are not very active on social media, but still very credible voices imho:

  • Lee Hood

  • Eric Verdin

  • Morgan Levine

  • Christin Glorioso

  • Tony Wiss-Coray

  • Brian Kennedy

  • Howard Luks

  • Nir Barzilai

Especially on nutrition, there are many competing ideologies and I think critically following several people with different approaches is a good start to then adapt whatever makes sense based on own biomarkers and preferences.

In addition to some the ones already mentioned that I follow, I will add some less known faces, specializing on specific topics:

  • Karen Martel and her podcast "The Hormone Solution" - the most comprehensive information on female hormones I could find. And she gives out sooo much hands-on practical advice like no one else I know!

  • Bella Lindemann and her YouTube channel and website - everything you need to know about IBS and SIBO (also goes very much in-depth with her advice and has high quality videos)

  • Simone Koch - German physician specializing in Functional Medicine with a private practice in Berlin. Very active on board range of topics (eg., Hormone Health as well, supplements, blood testing) on various social media channels but much more superficial than the aforementioned two. But she also offers master classes in FM, like genetics, so I guess she has to keep things for these payed channels... :-D

  • And last but not least (of course not "not well known" but not mentioned yet): Peter Attia, and his Medicine 3.0 concept, my personal favorite!

Dr. Gabor Maté.
While his focus isn’t classic longevity science, his work on trauma, stress, and the nervous system is foundational. In my view, no true health span without addressing emotional regulation and disconnection.

I have to say.... even though they are no longevity experts themselves, I really enjoy the German "Lifestyle of Longevity" Podcast by Dr. Kati Ernst and Kristine Zeller as they back things up scientifically but still break it down so simply that it gets easy to apply.
